Lead medium to large cross-functional strategic initiatives as part of the TDS Control Plane, enabling regional flexibility for Amazon’s e-commerce platform. Own the software development lifecycle from design through deployment, including documentation, testing, and operations. Work closely with business and technical teams to analyze non-standard problems and deliver creative, high-impact solutions. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and can communicate effectively across teams while paying attention to detail.

TDS Control Plane team is seeking an experienced and proven Software Development Engineer (SDE) to lead medium to large cross-functional strategic initiatives that support Regional flexibility goals. This is a unique opportunity for someone inspired by TDS core values and is interested in Amazon’s e-commerce foundation business to bring their whole self to the role.



Key job responsibilities
As an SDE, you are responsible for setting a high bar throughout the software development and deployment lifecycle, including design, development, documentation, testing, and operations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software and application development, AWS technologies, business judgment, curiosity, and superior written and verbal communication skills. He/she will work closely with the business and technical teams to analyze many non-standard and unique business problems and use creative problem solving to deliver results.
He/she will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big and be creative while paying careful attention to detail and will enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Basic Qualifications

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 3+ years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
