Join a fast-growing Amazon B2B Payments and Lending (ABPL) team as a Software Development Engineer II to design, develop, test, deploy, and support large-scale, multi-tier distributed applications serving Amazon Business customers. You will work as a full-stack engineer, delivering end-to-end experiences across Front-end/UI/UX, Back-end REST APIs, and leveraging a broad set of AWS services (EC2, S3, API Gateway, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Lambda) and infrastructure-as-code. You will estimate efforts, plan implementations, and drive rollout across systems and operations. This role emphasizes innovation, reliability, and scalable solutions in the payments and lending space.

To support our mission, we are expanding our Engineering, Operations, Research, Finance, Product Management, Marketing and Data teams. We are working together to extend the global reach of Payments and Lending and launch the next generation of products and customer experiences.
Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer:
- You will be responsible for design, development, testing, deploying, delivering and support the large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications and tools that serve Amazon Business Customers.
- You will work as full-stack engineers building end to end experiences on Front-end, UI, UX frameworks / Back-end, REST APIs, leveraging a wide array of AWS services including EC2, S3, API Gateway, Workflow service, Step Function, DynamoDB, Lambda and infra-as-code.
- You will be responsible for estimating efforts, plan implementation, roll out across systems and operations.
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
