Seller Fulfillment Technology (SFT) in Bangalore is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to deliver strategic goals for Amazon ecommerce systems. You will own and develop new capabilities across multiple stack layers, including distributed workflows on native AWS architecture, and drive operational rigor for a rapidly growing tech stack. You’ll work with senior and principal engineers to architect solutions, influence product direction, and contribute to patents, tech talks, and innovation efforts, while collaborating across marketplaces and with end customers. This role offers opportunities to shape product features and scale solutions for international locales.

Seller Fulfillment Technology (SFT) team located in Bangalore is looking for a SDE2 to deliver strategic goals for Amazon ecommerce systems. This is an opportunity to join our mission to build tech solutions that empower sellers to delight the next billion customers. You will be responsible for building new system capabilities grounds up for strategic business initiatives. If you feel excited by the challenge of setting the course for large company wide initiatives, building and launching customer facing products in international locales, this may be the next big career move for you. We are building systems which can scale across multiple marketplaces and are latest in automated large scale ecommerce business. We are looking for a SDE1 to design and build our tech stack as a coherent architecture and deliver capabilities across marketplaces. We operate in a high performance co-located agile ecosystem where SDEs, Product Managers and Principals frequently connect with end customers of our products. Our SDEs stay connected with customers through seller/FC/Deliver Station visits and customer anecdotes. This allows our engineers to significantly influence product roadmap, contribute to PR/FAQs and create disproportionate impact through the tech they deliver. Key job responsibilities
- Work closely with senior and principal engineers to architect and deliver high quality technology solutions.
- Own development in multiple layers of the stack including distributed workflows hosted in native AWS architecture.
- Operational rigor for a rapidly growing tech stack.
- Measure success metrics and influence evolution of the tech product.
- Contribute to patents, tech talks and innovation drives.
- Assist in the continual hiring and development of technical talent.

About the team
The IN FBA team under Seller & Fulfillment Tech (SFT) is building a team to define, design and develop solutions for optimizing inventory control and supply chain processes thereby improving the Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) operations and delivery experience of our end customers and sellers. Initiatives include improving inventory health status within a fulfillment center, optimizing Inventory In-bounding process and scaling the Inventory removal process for sellers . This is an innovation that will be started with India, and is poised to launch in other markets also. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a growing team that is driving the growth of the amazon.in business and helping transform the way India buys & sells. At a strategic level, our development team will be instrumental in shaping the product direction and will be actively involved in defining key product features that impact the business.

Basic Qualifications

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 3+ years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
