You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define the features, driving the system architecture, and spearheading best practices.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead engineering teams to translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design
- Deliver systems and features with top-notch quality, on time
- Own the software development process end-to-end, including: working with engineers and product managers to develop requirements; designing, architecting, planning, implementing, and testing new systems and features; deploying, and operating the production services.

A day in the life
As an engineering leader of our team, you will lead a team with opportunities to shape our services and lead the charge as we play a major role in the evolution of Alexa+ worldwide. We are building and expanding the largest eval and validation platform for Alexa+, solving multilingual evaluation and validation challenges at scale. Our work spans multi-agent GenAI architecture — from synthetic data generation, distributed multimodal validation infrastructure, to autonomous validation using Gen AI for scaling multilingual architecture and scaling LLM-as-a-Judge infrastructure.

Lead infrastructure and services development for Alexa+ global growth — partnering with product, program, and business stakeholders to shape strategy, define core services, and grow engineering teams.

The Alexa International team focuses on expanding Alexa’s capabilities on a global scale. We take on the unique challenge of understanding the nuances of how Alexa enabled devices can serve customers’ needs in different cultures and locations. Basic Qualifications

- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
