As the Software Development Manager, you will lead a team of engineers responsible for the Leo Customer Engagement Systems, designing and delivering software components and services to manage the customer lifecycle for telecom services. You will work with product management and stakeholders to define the Leo roadmap, architect scalable multi-tier web services, and build solutions across identity, provisioning, billing, and analytics. You will develop a strategic plan for team growth, hire and mentor engineers, and collaborate to establish a strong software organization within Leo. The role involves mentoring new team members and aligning engineering efforts with cross-team partners.
Have you wanted an opportunity to develop the software applications and services for an advanced global telecom service? The Leo Customer Engagement Systems team owns all the software and services to manage a customer's life cycle. Our team owns developing the architecture, solutions & roadmap for managing the customer lifecycle for telecom services; for example identity and account management, subscriber management services, user provisioning, billing and payments, customer and technical support tools, offer management tools, and customer metrics and analytics. As the Software Development Manager you will lead a team of engineers to solve these problems.

Key job responsibilities
-Aid in the design and delivery of Telecom Components, Applications and Services.
-Work with our peer teams and stakeholders to design suitable software systems and interfaces to fulfill the customer needs.
-Develop a strategic plan for the growth of the team, both from a software services and organization perspective.
-Hire & Develop a diverse team of software engineers.
-Collaborate with your fellow team members to form a strong foundation for a software organization in Leo.
-Help on-board and mentor new team members.
A day in the life
You will work with Product Management and Business Stakeholders on defining the roadmap for Leo's customer lifecycle. You will own solving this for multiple customer segments and building software that is flexible for many different customers and countries.
About the team
The Leo Customer Experience team will own delivering delightful, consistent interfaces across the Leo application, Leo website, and .com, including the interplay between our app, customer terminal (CT), and the Indoor Unit (IDU).
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience- 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
