Lead and manage a software development team focused on Personal Information and Identity Management within Amazon's Workforce Solutions. Set the strategic vision and roadmaps, drive cross-functional collaboration, and contribute to architecture and design for full-stack software. Guide delivery of secure, scalable onboarding and identity-management services on AWS, prioritizing quality and reliability to support 2.8 million new hires annually across 60+ countries. Recruit, coach, and develop engineers to build high-performing teams and strong product outcomes.
The Personal Information and Identity Management team owns personal information for all Amazon employees, collected prior to Day 1 and updated throughout employment. We own identity management, including duplicate profile checks, merges and rehire eligibility, an critical integrations with security services for account creation. This year we will expand to support family and dependents.
Key job responsibilities
Prioritize being a really great people manager. Building, motivating, rewarding and coaching a diverse team of Software Development Engineers is the most important part of this role. You will recruit and retain top talent and excel in day-to-day people and performance management tasks.
Set the strategic vision for your team and create comprehensive strategy documents and roadmaps that align with and advance organizational goals
Lead your team to build new products with quality, security, robustness and Amazon sized scale as top priorities. Help your team sort out technical and product requirements and priorities and align with cross-organizational partners.
Contribute to architecture and design discussions for full stack software.
Delight your customers. Internalize our customer challenges and derive creative solutions which apply new and innovative technology.
About the team
Workforce Solutions (WS) empowers our customers by providing integrated, people-focused solutions that streamline hiring processes for WW Stores, AWS, Devices, and Talent Acquisition. Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
