As a Solutions Architect for the Selling Partner API, you will help developers and partners understand and adopt SP-API by providing technical guidance, reference architectures, and code examples. You will work with customers to translate business needs into secure, scalable API integrations, and act as a technical liaison among customers, support, and engineering. You will write tutorials and technical articles, and help shape adoption strategies for SP-API across startups to large enterprises.

Amazon is looking for an experienced and self-motivated Solutions Architect, who possesses a unique balance of technical depth and customer-facing experience, to work with customers, generating attention and support for Amazon Selling Partner API.

As a trusted customer advisor, the Solutions Architect help organizations understand the opportunities to develop and integrate with Selling Partner-APIs. You will have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to drive adoption of SP-API within organizations ranging from new start-ups to large enterprise customers. You should be comfortable building technical credibility with API Developers, Solution Architects, Product Managers and C-level stakeholders.

The ability to link technology with measurable business value is critical to a solutions architect role. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.


Key job responsibilities
- As a key member of the technology team, ensure success in building secure applications, software and services on the Selling Partner API.
- Ensure existing and emerging Selling Partner API solutions comply with Selling Partner API acceptable use policies, security standards, and best practices.
- Accelerate business outcomes by developing technical products that accelerate secure API development journey such as reference architectures, code samples etc.
- Provide technical support and architectural guidance for security controls to API-developers.
- Write code samples, tutorials, white-papers and technical articles for our developer community, capturing and sharing the best practices for security
- Work with customers to understand how they are using our API services, and provide feedback to development teams
- Act as a technical liaison between customer, support & engineering, and business teams


A day in the life
The Solutions Architect team supporting the Selling Partner API (SP-API) is responsible for helping external developers, ISVs, and partners successfully build API applications. In a typical week, you will engage with multiple customers—guiding them through API best practices, authentication workflows, and scalable integration patterns across Orders, Catalog, Fulfillment, and Notifications APIs. You will earn their trust and show them the art of the possible, educating partners on automating inventory management, streamlining order processing, and building seamless selling experiences. Partnering with internal Amazon teams and leveraging deep knowledge of SP-API capabilities, you'll craft reliable, compliant solutions that address our partners' unique business challenges. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to continuously learn and innovate daily.







About the team
Our global Solutions Architecture team enables technology Solution Providers to build on Selling Partner API. Selling Partner API is an integrated web service API that helps Amazon Selling Partners programmatically exchange data on listings, orders, payments, reports, and more.

Basic Qualifications

- 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
