Seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines across multi-disciplinary environments including large-scale CI, HPC, and EDA flows. You will develop infrastructure as code using Ansible and other automation tools, and help manage distributed systems on AWS with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS). The role emphasizes troubleshooting, collaboration with stakeholders, and creating clear technical documentation. This position offers opportunities to work on AI/ML, cloud computing, and HPC/EDA environments within an innovative AWS organization.

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon S3 and Amazon EC2, to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS's services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you'll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS.

Key job responsibilities
Infrastructure & Automation
• Lead projects across multi-disciplinary environments, including large-scale CI systems, HPC, and EDA flows
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using modern tools and best practices
• Develop infrastructure as code using Ansible and other automation tools
• Build and support large-scale, distributed infrastructure
Technical Leadership
• Work independently and collaboratively within an elite engineering team
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues using strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders at all levels
• Create clear, concise technical documentation

Basic Qualifications

- Linux & Programming
- • 2+ years of experience with Linux systems (Red Hat family preferred)
- • Professional-level proficiency in Python and Bash
- • Working knowledge of additional languages (e.g., Tcl, Java, C++, Go, or Rust)
- DevOps & CI/CD
- • Extensive experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins preferred)
- • Advanced knowledge of Git and multi-repository management tools (Gerrit, GitLab, Repo)
- • Strong hands-on experience with Ansible
- • Familiarity with distributed systems at scale
- Cloud & Containers
- • Demonstrated expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure and services
- • Experience with cloud-native architectures
- • Practical experience with Docker containerization
- • Familiarity with Kubernetes (Amazon EKS preferred)
- Monitoring & Networking
- • Proficiency with monitoring solutions: OpenSearch, Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki
- • Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, secure data transfer, network troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with AI/ML tools, including agentic AI and LLM technologies
- Proven ability to manage projects across technical and business stakeholders
- Experience with HPC or EDA environments
- Contributions to open-source projects
