Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) in BlackRock's Aladdin Product Group – Private Markets on eFront Invest, Paris-based. The role is hands-on, spanning the full software lifecycle to design, build, and operate a cloud-based web platform, with emphasis on correctness, reliability, and scalability. Within the Aladdin Product Group –Private Markets, we are hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) to work ona critical application of the Aladdin Software suite:eFrontInvest

The positionis based inParisandoperatesasapart of aglobalengineeringorganization distributed over several countries all over the world.

eFront Investisthe main application forPrivate MarketsInvestment Management within BlackRock Aladdin. Ithandles all Private Market asset class investments, end to end, from the Fund Raising through the Deal Flow, Fundmanagementand Accounting.

Therole is ahands-on senior individual contributorto theeFrontInvest platform and features. It requires deepunderstandingof the technical aspects of aweb-basedsoftware deployed in the cloud, but also strong software architecture knowledge and advance notions of Product Delivery Life Cycle.

About you

You are an experienced software engineer who is comfortable working on large, long-lived systems where correctness, traceability, and operational stability matter as much as delivery speed.You enjoy understanding how data flows through systems, how workflows interact across services, and how design decisions affect downstream consumers. Youare able towork autonomously in complex codebases, while collaborating closely with peers across engineering, product, and QA.You are not afraid to get intosubstantial code based, with the help of AI tools, to understand, enhance,fixand develop new product features.

As a senior engineer, you contribute through hands-on development, sound technical judgement, and constructive collaboration, rather than through formal authority. You take ownership of the quality of your work and understand the impact it has on business-critical workflows.

What you will be doing

  • Designing and implementing features within Invest, focusing onenhancing the platform and the operation capacity of the product.
  • Working across the full software lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and incident investigation
  • Contributing to the evolution of coreplatformarchitecture,configuration,and customization capacities.
  • Writing clear, maintainable code and contributing to automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
  • Diagnosing issues in existing systems, including legacyInvestcomponents, and improving them incrementally and safely
  • Participating actively in code reviews and technical discussions
  • Collaborating closely with engineers, architects, product partners, and QA across locations
  • Leverage AI tools and IDEs to maximize your productivity and deliverquality features on time.

What you bring

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
  • Extensive professional experience building and supporting production software systems (typically 10+ years)
  • Strong ability to independently navigate and understand complex, existing codebases
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in data-centric and workflow-driven systems
  • Experience working on systems where data quality, auditability, and operational reliability are critical
  • Professional fluency in English, written and spoken
