The Opportunity:

DevOps engineering requires a specific mix of development, engineering, and communication skills. As a DevOps engineer, you know that these skills create efficiency and effectiveness—so you can quickly deliver the best solutions for clients. We’re looking for a DevOps engineer like you to help develop critical tools—and get them into the hands of those who need them most.

As a DevOps engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll streamline the software development lifecycle, from requirements to monitoring in production. You’ll incorporate open-source tools, automation, and cloud resources to modernize systems, cut down on tedious tasks, and free up the team’s developers to do what they do best—create. You’ll work with the team to implement continuous integration and delivery to limit manual testing and troubleshooting. This is an opportunity to hone your skills in the latest automation, infrastructure, and cloud-based development while developing software that will make mission-forward impact.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience building infrastructure as code, IaaS, or PaaS with orchestration technology such as Kubernetes
  • 5+ years of experience with configuration management tools  
  • 2+ years of experience with Elasticsearch
  • 2+ years of experience with software development languages such as Python, C, or C++
  • Experience setting up multi-tenant systems using DevOps processes and IaC
  • Experience with AWS
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in DevOps, or 8+ years of experience in DevOps in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with GitOps, including ArgoCD

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
