Experienced Application Operations Engineer to join Capgemini team in Katowice, responsible for administering customer applications, managing incidents, performing updates, and ensuring the smooth operation of production tools and infrastructure components. Provides second-line support, handles incidents and major incidents according to SLAs, plans patches, and manages upgrades for production tools. You will work on tickets (incidents, changes, patches, problems, requests) and collaborate with other teams to implement improvements and boost efficiency. Requires strong Linux/Windows expertise, cloud/DevOps knowledge (Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD with GitLab, Ansible) and very good French language skills.

YOUR TASKS

We are looking for an experienced Application Operations Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering customer applications, managing incidents, performing updates, and ensuring the smooth operation of production tools and infrastructure components.

  • Provide second-line support for customer applications.

  • Perform changes and tasks according to both standardized and non-standard operating procedures.

  • Handle incidents and major incidents in accordance with agreed SLAs.

  • Plan and apply patches to ensure system stability and security.

  • Manage infrastructure component upgrades for production tools.

  • Support release updates and ensure seamless deployments.

  • Work on tickets, including scheduled actions and ad hoc interventions (incidents, changes, patches, problems, and requests).

  • Implement improvements and collaborate with other teams to enhance processes and efficiency.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Strong expertise in Linux and Windows operating systems.

  • good understanding of cloud computing and DevOps concepts : Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD (GitLab), and Ansible.

  • Hands-on experience with scheduling tools such as Autosys, VTOM or Control-M

  • Proven ability to coordinate and support teams in planning and executing work activities effectively.

  • Very good French language

NICE TO HAVE:

Experience with scripting [Powershell, Bash, Python]
