Lead the architecture, integration, and deployment of enterprise software solutions within complex manufacturing environments, ensuring seamless interoperability across IT/OT systems and alignment with Industry 4.0 strategies. Define end-to-end solution architectures for enterprise packages across manufacturing environments, including integrations with ERP, EAM/APM/MES and OT systems, and drive robust SaaS, on-prem, and hybrid deployment models. Provide technical leadership, governance, and high-quality documentation throughout the project lifecycle, collaborating with Infrastructure, Network, and Security teams to meet platform and compliance requirements. This role can be based in Australia and may require travel to New Zealand; applicants must have full working rights for Australia and New Zealand.

At Capgemini Engineering, the world leader in engineering services, we bring together a global team of engineers, scientists, and architects to help the world’s most innovative companies unleash their potential. From autonomous cars to life-saving robots, our digital and software technology experts think outside the box as they provide unique R&D and engineering services across all industries. Join us for a career full of opportunities. Where you can make a difference. Where no two days are the same.

As our Solution Architect, you will lead the architecture, integration, and deployment of off-the-shelf and configurable enterprise software solutions within complex manufacturing environments, ensuring seamless interoperability across IT/OT systems and alignment with Industry 4.0 strategies.

This role can be based out of any of Australia's major cities. It will include some travel to New Zealand and therefore only applicants with full working rights for Australia and New Zealand will be considered.

How you'll play a key role:

    • Define, own, and document the end-to-end solution architecture for enterprise package software across manufacturing environments, including integrations with ERP, EAM / APM / MES, and OT systems
    • Lead integration architecture between core enterprise platforms and operational systems, ensuring robustness across SaaS, on-prem, and hybrid deployments
    • Translate shop-floor and executive business requirements into clear technical architectures, deployment models, and phased roadmaps
    • Collaborate with Infrastructure, Network, and Security teams to ensure platform, cloud, and compliance requirements are met
    • Provide technical leadership, escalation support, and risk-based architectural governance throughout the project lifecycle
    • Drive knowledge transfer, architectural standards, and high-quality technical documentation

Your profile:

    • Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Technical Lead delivering enterprise package software in manufacturing, industrial, or asset-intensive environments
    • Strong background integrating enterprise platforms with ERP/EAM/APM/MES/OT systems (e.g. SAP, Microsoft, SCADA, PLCs)
    • Solid understanding of digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0 concepts, including multi-site and large-scale rollouts
    • Experience designing for SaaS, on-prem, and hybrid architectures, with good knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), infrastructure, networking, and security
    • Excellent stakeholder management—able to liaise from shop-floor teams to senior executives, and explain complex technical concepts clearly
    • Demonstrated experience in architecture governance, including development of solution designs, architecture artifacts, reference architectures, and deployment roadmaps

What you'll love about working here:

  • We recognise the significance of flexible work arrangements to provide support. You will get an environment to maintain a healthy work life balance
