Job Overview

The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Description:

The Infrastructure Engineering and DevOps expert will be responsible for building & hosting application environments for Citi's Enterprise Portals and other supporting applications hosted on the portal framework. Candidate will support & partner with global teams to architect & lead the infrastructure build including web, application server environment, vendor technologies, code build & release infrastructure, and other related web/API services. She/he will work with requestors to derive technology solution, architecture, hardware sizing and procurement as per the business requirements. She/He will work on implementation of applications using various cloud based, Web, Java, security, authentication & database technologies. This Web & API technology specialist will also help with SSL certificates renewals, secure application keystores, application debugging & environment stability support.

Responsibilities:

Looking for 8 +Years of Experience

● Setup cloud-based environments using Citi on premise Elastic Cloud (ECS) and/or public cloud.

● Responsible for building infra platform for in-house developed and third-party applications using common technology stacks and processes.

● Lead the infrastructure changes for application roll-out as per agreed and committed timelines.

● Own the DevOps function for build and release using approved processes and tools.

● Work with global development teams to understand, clarify new requirements to submit infrastructure procurement & platform build requests.

● Troubleshoot operating system and database performance issues and provide tuning recommendations.

● Facilitate integration of applications using web proxies and secure connectivity.

● Implement in-depth monitoring solutions using in-house available framework.

● Help to implement seamless navigation between applications using SAML or JWT technologies.

● Assist in defining authentication requirements and facilitate the implementation using Siteminder and related technologies.

● Define and request firewall, proxy plug, VIP/LB configurations, WideIP and SSL for all applications.

● Renew and deploy SSL certificates and maintain application security to the highest standards.

● Work with developers and ethical hack teams to close infrastructure findings for external and internal facing applications.

● Define and implement application/database COB strategy and facilitate COB application testing.

● Ensure technology assets, platforms are shared across organization to avoid duplication.

Knowledge/Experience:

● DevOps & Web technology engineer supporting enterprise & global applications.

● Web Infrastructure / Global Client Portal experience

● Hands on UNIX/Linux experience for setting up application environments.

● Experience in deploying and managing web technology frameworks including API's & microservices.

● DevOps experience for code releases & environment setup/management.

● Hands-on experience of supporting global & critical application environments.

● Automation experience using scripts and tools.

● Experience in management of application infrastructure including non-prod & Prod.

● Experience in web technologies such as Apache, Tomcat, Jetty, Sprint Boot etc.

● Understanding of production change management processes.

● Application monitoring.

Primary Skills:

● Web Servers: Apache Tomcat, Nginx

● Application servers: Tomcat, Jetty Spring Boot

● OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes

● Authentication tools such as Siteminder, SAML 2.0, JWT.

● Debug tools: App Dynamics, Splunk, ELK, Fiddler.

● Networking concepts: Internet, DNS, VIP, WideIP, Global network setup & user routing, load balancers, resiliency etc.

● Server operating systems: Linux, UNIX

● Scripting, automation, and application monitoring tools.

● Content Delivery Networks, & application caching

● Build and Deployment tools: Jenkins, uDeploy, GitHub.

● Database: Oracle, MongoDB.

● Server hardware sizing experience.

Secondary Skills:
● Very good written and verbal communication skills.

● Able to operate independently and work collaboratively with other enterprise teams.

● Experience with investment banking technology is a plus.
