Join Danske Bank's platform team to design, build, and maintain key elements of the Data Science and Machine Learning Platform used by 100+ data science users. You will translate stakeholders' requirements into technical specifications and architectures, and collaborate with upstream/downstream systems to create an interconnected production ecosystem. You'll work closely with architects, cloud engineers, DevOps, data engineers, MLOps, and data scientists to ensure successful delivery while adhering to security and production policies. Proficiency in AWS, Databricks, Terraform, Python, and container technologies like Docker is expected.

Location: Copenhagen K, Denmark

Are you passionate about matching IT architecture to business needs and building platform solutions for 100+ data science users developing machine learning models? At the same time, enjoy taking a practical hand in delivering products?

Join our full-stack team at Danske Bank as we develop a cutting-edge model platform for credit risk assessment. Our work influences critical decisions, from individual credit lending to capital allocation for entire portfolios. You will collaborate closely with teams redeveloping these vital models, all within a dynamic department that oversees and operates the bank’s existing IT model infrastructure. This positions you at a hub of expertise and strategic prioritization, setting you up for success.

The Role

You will join a platform team that comprises data engineers, DevOps, cloud engineers, and platform engineers/architects. Regular collaboration with data engineers, MLOps, and data scientists from other teams will also be part of your role, so a collaborative mindset and a willingness to contribute to general platform tasks are essential.

In this role, you will:

  • Design, build, and maintain key elements of the Data Science and Machine Learning Platform.
  • Collect and understand stakeholders’ requirements to transform them into technical specifications and architectural designs.
  • Collaborate with upstream and downstream systems to ensure a robust ecosystem of interconnected production systems.
  • Review and ensure adherence to Group policies regarding software development, security, and production systems.
  • You will also work closely with architects, cloud engineers, and DevOps within the organization to ensure successful delivery.

About you

You have expertise in cloud engineering (particularly with AWS and Databricks) and are proficient in Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform. With strong programming and scripting skills in Python and shell scripts, you are comfortable working with container technologies like Docker.

Additionally, you bring:

  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools and strategies, specifically Azure DevOps.
  • A solid understanding of systems design, including networking, scaling, security, and performance.
  • Core knowledge of system observability.
  • Awareness of the technological differences between real-time and near-real-time executions in production and analytical environments.
  • Advanced English communication skills are essential to excel in this role.
