The Lead Engineer is responsible for managing or performing work across multiple areas of the bank's overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including analysis, development, and administration. It may also involve taking functional oversight of engineering delivery for specific departments. Work includes: Planning and developing entire engineering solutions to accomplish business goals; Building reliability and resiliency into solutions with appropriate testing and reviewing throughout the delivery lifecycle; Ensuring maintainability and reusability of engineering solutions; Ensuring solutions are well architected and can be integrated successfully into the end-to-end business process flow; Reviewing engineering plans and quality to drive re-use and improve engineering capability; Participating in industry forums to drive adoption of innovative technologies, tools and solutions in the Bank. db-SIS is the front gate into the Surveillance Domain and the glue between all the Surveillance Controls that analyze the transactions. This is the place where it is decided which Surveillance Controls need to be run and where the analyses are being consolidated into one final decision. Big amounts of data (millions of messages per day) need to move fast (some as fast as 200ms) and reliable. Data loss is not an option and self-healing is mandatory. This is a product with High Availability, High Throughput and Low Latency Product where the subtle technical nuances are of great importance. As we are handling data from across the globe we must manage multiple clusters to respect Data Residency Constraints. The Lead DevOps/Cloud Engineer will manage our GCP Services ensuring they are compliant and support the application while contributing to the software continuous delivery implementation and operations of Deutsche Bank – Corporate Bank Technology projects. As db-SIS is an application that requires to be run on-premises as well, the responsibilities spread over the on-premises setup as well, although to a lesser extent as the on-premises platform is a managed service. Responsibilities include: Configure and Monitor GCP Services and OnPrem Services; Enhance CI/CD pipelines and create new ones; Solutionize and support deployment of application components. Skills required: GCP (GKE, CloudSQL, CloudMonitoring, etc) preferably, but other public cloud experience is also relevant; Kubernetes; OpenShift; Terraform; GitHub Actions & Workflows; Jenkins; Helm.
