Position Overview

AFC team is responsible for protecting the bank from financial and reputational losses incurred by financial crimes by assessing, controlling and mitigating risks. Risk types related to Anti-Financial Crime are consolidated in a comprehensive and effective risk management framework that covers Anti-Money-Laundering, Sanctions & Embargoes, Anti-Bribery & Corruption as well as Anti-Fraud & Investigations.

QA Lead Engineer - Vice President will be responsible for overseeing the SAFe Agile Tribe maturity model. This role is pivotal in ensuring testing efficiency by driving shift left with automation, service virtualizations etc. The ideal candidate will lead a team of quality assurance engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and implement best practices in automated testing to drive efficiency and effectiveness in our quality assurance processes alongside testing activities coordination for multiple deliverables with in the Tribe. Focus will on 80% hands on and 20% planning meetings.

Design, develop, and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, and continuously improve testing processes and methodologies, to ensure software quality and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • You will define and manage teams, testing strategies, plans and deliverables related to testing within specific applications and programs of work on a global basis. You will also manage and drive the adoption of recognized best practice and policy and contribute to the ongoing improvement of methodologies and assets. You will manage and be accountable for Functional testing, Performance testing and Automation testing for applications in programme portfolio, in GCP or on-premises.
  • Creation and execution automated test scripts, leveraging testing frameworks and tools to facilitate early detection of defects and quality issues. .
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, participate in design discussions, and contribute to the development of acceptance criteria, ensuring a thorough understanding of the software being tested.
  • Root cause analysis for identified defects, working closely with developers to provide detailed information and support defect resolution.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Coordinating with the Delivery manager and portfolio stakeholders to ensure that the test strategy is aligned with the overall program IT Strategy.
  • Managing the overall effort to ensure that all in scope components and scenarios are tested and reported on for all the program portfolio.
  • Coordinate the integration and alignment between GCP ad on-prem testing strategy and tools
  • Providing management, leadership and technical guidance to Testing Specialists and Testing Analysts
  • Acting as a senior escalation point for all stakeholders, including internal testing team escalation
  • Development and implementation of comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate software functionality and ensure compliance with established quality standards.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.

Skills

  • Strong understanding & experience of safe agile – Tribe Maturity Model.
  • Technical Expertise required for test automation tools and framework, cloud platform, CI/CD, performance testing tools, experience with the database and in scripting tasks and experience with Linux
  • Test Efficiency by driving left shift, test automation, service virtualization
  • Test Strategy Development: Ability to design, implement, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, including automated test scripts and test frameworks. And various quality matrices at Tribe level.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex software systems and develop testing strategies to ensure quality outcomes.
  • Leadership Skill: Strong leadership skills to coach/mentor/enable a group of QA engineers to deliver the key KPIs at the Squad, Tribe or Domain level and developing a High Performance team.
