Join Docusign's Microservices Framework (MSF) team within Cloud Engineering to build a scalable, distributed microservices platform across multiple cloud providers. You will design and implement core MSF components, develop infrastructure-as-code modules and CI/CD pipelines, and automate configuration management to enable secure, repeatable releases. What you'll do Microservices Framework (MSF) team within the Docusign Cloud Engineering organization helps build the platform that powers Product Development across a multi-cloud environment. MSF team enables microservices at scale through two core capabilities, Compute for containerized service execution and Storage for all services, while delivering end-to-end automation for provisioning and deployment. You’ll shape the Cloud Layer by defining cloud component configurations across providers, automating deployments, creating secure execution environments, managing users and permissions, and streamlining standardized onboarding. This team also owns the System Layer capabilities including system execution, data flow and routing, security and encryption, and reliable service-to-UI and service-to-service communication. Docusign is looking for a seasoned software engineer to join our microservices framework team focused on building highly scalable, available, and reliable distributed systems. The Cloud engineering at Docusign ensures critical back-end services scale with the company’s continued rapid growth. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Director, Engineering. Responsibility Be open minded, forward thinking and passionate about great software platform and cloud technologies Think about how to solve problems in scale and build automation to manage complex software systems Develop testable, high-quality, and ship-ready code with ample test coverage Partner with product teams to onboard services to MSF, provide clear documentation, samples, and demo support for a smooth developer experience Work as part of a cross-site development team to drive design, implementation, testing and release of microservices platform Build and enhance core components of the Microservices Framework (MSF) across multiple cloud providers, focusing on containerized compute, storage integrations, and platform services under guidance from senior engineers Implement infrastructure-as-code modules and CI/CD pipelines; maintain golden‑path templates and reusable libraries that speed up provisioning and deployments Develop automation and tooling for configuration management, policy enforcement, and safe, repeatable releases Collaborate in cross‑functional projects, share progress clearly, and proactively seek feedback and mentorship to grow impact at Docusign Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation) Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. Preferred job designations are not guaranteed when changing positions within Docusign. What you bring Basic 5+ years of hands-on software development experience in an object-oriented programming language such as C#, C++ or Java 3+ years of working with cloud deployment and configuration tools using scripting and configuration platforms like Terraform Experience in designing and implementing scalable storage systems Experience with being a part of oncall rotation Experience with driving decisions based on Telemetry and metrics to take a data driven approach Preferred Passion to learn new software technologies and platforms Strong experience with Agile methodologies and working in an Agile/Scrum environment Passion for exploring new technologies and a proven track record as a self-starter with a strong sense of ownership Experience in a SaaS environment, with practical knowledge of Cloud technologies like Kubernetes, Azure/GCP, and large-scale microservice architectures Proficiency in the entire software development lifecycle, including version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, testing, and regional cloud deployments Have an interest in working on a highly available site Wage Transparency Pay for this position is based on a number of factors includ
