Join Docusign's Production Security Engineering team as a Software Engineer focused on Security Identity. Design and build the identity lifecycle and automated IAM across Azure, GCP, and on-prem environments, using IaC (Terraform/Ansible) and automation (PowerShell, Python). Manage hybrid Active Directory, RBAC, and core Azure infrastructure, and collaborate with security, compliance, and engineering teams to log, audit, and improve security controls. What you'll do Docusign’s Production Security Engineering team is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our growing Security Identity team. This team is responsible for building the cloud foundation that will power Docusign's future. Your expertise will be crucial as you help build our multi-cloud solutions on Azure and GCP, and enable the company's strategic migration from on-premise to the cloud. As a key member of the team, you will design and build the core components of this foundation, including a unified identity fabric that spans Azure, GCP, and our on-premise Windows environments, automated identity and access management (IAM) to provide frictionless, secure access, and frameworks for compliance, vulnerability management, and security to ensure our platform is secure by default.You will embrace Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and modern software engineering practices to build the secure and scalable platform that empowers Docusign's engineering teams. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Manager, Cloud Identity Engineering. Responsibility Design, build, and operate the services and systems that manage the identity lifecycle (JML, JIT, PIM, PAM, RBAC) Write Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible) and automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) to manage and deploy secure identity and cloud infrastructure Manage and secure our hybrid Active Directory environment, including GPO configuration, replication, and RBAC Deploy and manage core Azure infrastructure such as Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, Application Gateways, and highly available compute resources Partner cross-functionally with security, compliance, and engineering teams to provide guidance, implement security controls, and ensure all access activities are logged and auditable Perform proactive and reactive vulnerability remediations to continually advance Docusign's security posture Provide technical guidance to team members and contribute to design reviews Participate in an on-call rotation to provide production support Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation) Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. Preferred job designations are not guaranteed when changing positions within Docusign. Docusign reserves the right to change a position's job designation depending on business needs and as permitted by local law. What you bring Basic Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline 5+ years of experience performing System Engineering related responsibilities 3+ years of experience in advanced scripting and automation 3+ years of experience managing resources in a cloud-based server environment 3+ years of experience implementing and managing IaC solutions Preferred Cloud Certifications (e.g., Azure AZ-104, GCP Associate Cloud Engineer) and/or Terraform Associate Certification Familiarity with identity protocols like Kerberos, SAML, OIDC, or OAuth Experience with hybrid Active Directory and Entra ID environments Software development experience in languages such as C#, .NET, Java, or Go Proven experience developing scalable and secure software solutions, specifically for automating identity-related workflows Strong understanding of designing for systems at scale, including concepts like load balancing, high availability, and certificate infrastructure (PKI) Experience with modern incident management practices, including driving Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and developing automated, self-healing solutions Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) Knowledge of AWS Experience with monitoring and telemetry software such as Grafana or Prometheus Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences Wage Transparency Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
