Our Release QA team in Burnaby has over 130 staff and are responsible for ensuring Fortinet products meet the high standards we expect before release to the market. We are currently recruiting for teams focused on QA activities for our FortiOS, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer and FortiClient products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform regression testing using a combination of manual and automated testing approaches; Design, maintain, and execute test plans and test cases.
- Develop and enhance automated test scripts.
- Identify, document, and track software defects throughout the testing lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure issues are accurately reproduced, clearly communicated, and effectively resolved.
- Work cross-functionally with Developers, QA Engineers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to gain a thorough understanding of new features, use cases, and customer scenarios.
- Prepare and publish release notes, user guides, and reference documentation for new product releases.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Open to both recent graduates and candidates with experience in testing network-related products.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals and application-layer protocols.
- Familiarity with networking technologies, including routing, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and switching.
- Experience in installing, configuring, and managing Windows and/or Linux virtual machines and related applications.
- Solid knowledge of QA processes, testing methodologies, and software development fundamentals.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, or AI-related technologies is a strong plus.
- Proficiency or hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Shell, TCL, Perl, or Python is an advantage.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Computer Science, Computer Technology, or a related discipline.
The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $85,000 - $115,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
