Lead Software Engineer responsible for designing and delivering integrated Java or C# applications, Azure-based services, REST and SOAP APIs, and front-end components with React. You will analyze systems, build integrations and APIs, develop web, service, and batch components, and ensure reliability through testing and on-call support. The role involves mentoring the team, collaborating with operations, data, compliance, and infrastructure, and driving continuous improvements. Based in Hyderabad, the position requires 10+ years of hands-on development and proven leadership experience.

About the Department:

  • The Application Development team builds and supports the technology that enables ClearBridge’s investment, research, and operational excellence. Based in Hyderabad and collaborating closely with colleagues worldwide, the team works in an environment that values curiosity, accountability, and continuous learning. Joining this group gives you the opportunity to contribute to impactful platforms while developing leadership and technical depth.

How You Will Add Value?

Core Responsibilities:

You will:

  • Analyze systems and design new and enhanced application solutions.

  • Build integrations, application programming interfaces, and automated workflows.

  • Develop software components for web, services, and batch tools.

  • Test and refine application logic for reliability and usability.

  • Troubleshoot issues and support production systems, including limited on-call rotation.

  • Create clear technical documents and specifications.

  • Collaborate with operations, data, compliance, and infrastructure teams.

  • Validate deployments and drive continuous improvements.

  • Mentor the team and support performance development.

What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role?

Experience, Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline.

  • 10+ years of hands-on development experience.

  • At least three years leading technical teams.

  • Experience in investment management is beneficial.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong skills in Java or C#.

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure integration services.

  • Ability to build REST and SOAP services using modern data formats.

  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.

  • Strong SQL and ORM framework expertise.

  • Experience deploying or migrating applications in Azure.

  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure.

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly.

  • Understanding of financial or investment workflows.

  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work independently.

  • Proven leadership capability.

Work Shift Timings - 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM IST
