We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering Specialist.

Business: CTO Infrastructure

Principal responsibilities

  • Run the open platform by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of IT system healthy.
  • Build tools and automation to manage platform infrastructure and services.
  • Improve reliability, quality, and time efficiency to upgrade cluster and service versions.
  • Measure and optimize system performance and resource utilization, and plan for future capacity.
  • Build dashboards and visualizations to graph system health.
  • Define system alerts and automate responses where possible.
  • Provide operational support and engineering for multiple software development teams.
  • Work with the senior team members on driving the platform forward to align with the Banks 2027 goals.
  • Please be noted that this position carries potential consequence management from regulator in case of significant system outage lead to business impact or violation of regulations.

Requirements

  • More than 10 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure support, especially Middleware domain, or administrative Knowledge with practical hands-on of Middleware product on multiple platforms such as UNIX, Linux, Windows in production support. It is better to know with automation tools (AAP, Jenkins, etc) and can automate and optimize the operations using shell/ PERL/python scripts or other tools.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues related to application hosting infrastructure across DEV, UAT, Production, Contingency environments including WebSphere Application Server, Websphere Liberty Profile, WebSphere MQ, BPM server, IBM HTTP Server and provide support through 24 x 7 window.
  • Knowledge of MQ on backup and recovery procedures of the MQ objects/messages. High Availability(HA) features.
  • Provide ongoing support for problem records, identify problem situations, review the problems, engage associates to plan for investigation, work on Root Cause Analysis & solution in coordination with application teams.
  • A solid understanding of UNIX and LINUX.
  • Experience with Veritas Cluster Server, heap dump / thread dump analysis, using industry monitoring tools. (e.g ITM/App Dynamics), working/partnering with Vendors as early adopters, working within an agile environment will be better

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
