We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for: Provide 24x7 production support for GCP based application, using technologies like BigQuery, GCS, workflows. Experience in working with Operations, Development and Test Engineers to ensure operational issues (performance, alerting, design defect related issues, etc.) are identified and addressed at all stages of a product or service release / change. Responsible for incident and problem management to ensure service availability and resilience. Responsible to oversee IT Controls (e.g. SDLC, DEPL, CHNG etc) and various metrics to track service resilience. Responsible to provide evidence and support internal/external audit reviews from time to time. Responsible for delivering ITSO book of work. Flexible to work in shifts and provide on-call support. To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: Ind-depth knowledge on GCP BigQuery, Shell scripting, SQL scripts, any batch scheduling Tool such as Control M. Experience in supporting batch process and high volume data intensive applications. Having experience in supporting Regulatory Reporting application is added advantage. Good understanding of Risk and Compliance requirement. Knowledge of Production Support processes and procedures (Change, Incident, Problem & Service management). Knowledge of patching and vulnerability management practices. Strong understanding of Linux & Windows platforms with hands-on experience in solving App/Infra issues. Basic understanding of DevOps operating model and tools such as Jenkins/Ansible/Github. Understanding of production monitoring tool such as (e.g. AppDynamics/Grafana/Splunk). Work independently to analyse and resolve production problems and work with global team across time zones to resolve them. Knowledge of Agile delivery processes and Devops practices. Knowledge of CICD pipeline & Devops tooling is an added advantage. Previous experience within Investment Banking and GCP cloud-based systems would be an advantage. Experience on DevOps and Agile Methodologies. Must familiar with using DevOps tools – GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Ansible. Must have good communication skills (both speaking and writing) and working experience on interacting with distributed teams. Must have problem solving skills, can-do attitude.
