We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.

Business: HASE Technology

Principal responsibilities

• DevOps Collaboration: Actively contribute as a member of the HASE IT Infrastructure DevOps team, providing expert support and guidance on operating systems, middleware, database, and cloud technologies across diverse projects and business functions.
• Performance Optimisation: Support the optimisation of system performance and the implementation of best practices for scalable middleware solutions and data models, enabling new business initiatives and the integration of emerging technologies.
• Infrastructure Solutions Delivery: Partner with architects, developers, and project managers to design and deliver robust infrastructure solutions that align with business requirements and facilitate organisational growth.
• Technology Implementation: Study, design, and implement new infrastructure technologies in line with established standards and governance frameworks. Contribute to the upskilling of team members by sharing expertise in new technologies.
• Performance Tuning: Assist in tuning queries and stored procedures to ensure databases and applications remain highly optimised.
• Compliance and Security: Ensure all systems adhere to Group infrastructure and security policies and standards, maintaining a strong compliance posture.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify delivery risks, develop preventive or corrective actions, and escalate significant project risks and issues to management promptly.
• Consultancy and Support: Provide professional consultancy and technical support in response to infrastructure-related queries from developers and business users.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with infrastructure domain teams across the Group to influence and enhance practices and standards for infrastructure products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with Middleware product (MQ / WAS / Liberty).
• Experience with server administration (Windows server and/or Redhat Linux).
• Demonstrable experience of scripting (shell / perl / python) with automation skills.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or Alicloud).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in team environments.
• Self-motivated, able to work under pressure.
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese; written and spoken.
