Join ING as a DevOps/Functional Ops Engineer in a multi-disciplinary role spanning Bots, IT automation, operations and stakeholder management. You will collaborate with IT colleagues in Amsterdam, Singapore, Manila and Bangalore to design and implement new functionality for a global user base, analyze requirements, and provide operational support to the BOTS ecosystem from a functional perspective. You will participate in stand-by End-of-Day processes, support application development with testing, work in two-week Agile sprints, and help implement IT Risk & Security controls while driving automation to improve the customer journey.
- As a DevOps/Functional Ops, you will operate in a multi-disciplinary role whereby Bots knowledge, IT Automation, Operations and stakeholder management are key in your day-to-day activities. As such, knowledge of IT Operations is a must. Knowledge of the ING in-house-built Bots system is a big plus.
- Together with your IT colleagues in Amsterdam, Singapore, Manilla and Bangalore you will create new functionality for our global user base;
- Analyze, discuss, build, test and implement the requirements regarding changes requested by our users.
- Provide Operational support to the BOTS ecosystem from a Functional perspective, including issue investigation, resolution coordination, and user guidance.
- Standby support for End of Day Process on a rotation basis with your teammates.
- Support Application Development by providing analysis, regression testing, automated testing, among other tasks.
- Work in an Agile environment with sprints of two weeks.
- Implement and document ING’s IT Risk & Security controls.
- Work on improving the current process through automation and identify improvements in the Customer Journey.
What you bring to the team
- Experience as Functional/Operations engineer or business analyst.
- Linux proficiency
- Experience working with databases (Oracle)
- Knowledge of Financial Markets products.
- Familiarity with tools like Confluence, Snow.
- Experience or affinity with IT Risk & Security concepts.
- Experience with working on Magic XPA software is a big plus.
- Experience with working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Flexible on being on call/support when needed
- A university degree, in Business Information Systems, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics or similar.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical skills, proactivity and willingness to share knowledge with others in the team.
- You thrive in a team setting and enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary environment.
