The Role and Impact
Join Intel's Link Applications Engineering team as an Infrastructure and DevOps Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring best-in-industry functionality and interoperability of our Ethernet products. In this role, you will ensure the planning, provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of infrastructure tools and systems required for building, validating, and releasing Intel's FNIC, IPU, and Ethernet-integrated SoC products. Your contributions will enhance automation, reliability, and efficiency in our infrastructure pipelines, directly supporting Intel's mission to deliver industry-leading innovations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will have the opportunity to influence infrastructure design, implement robust automated solutions, and drive advancements in technology that make a tangible impact on Intel's success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, provision, and configure hardware and software infrastructure to meet project requirements.
  • Collaborate with development and quality teams to derive infrastructure design requirements and implement solutions.
  • Develop, test, and automate tools for end-to-end delivery pipelines, including source code management, versioning, tagging, and component builds.
  • Ensure robust disaster recovery planning and compliance with Intel's security and IP standards.
  • Monitor and optimize infrastructure telemetry, KPIs, and indicators to improve automation, reliability, and velocity within pipelines.
  • Implement industry best practices to enhance infrastructure performance and scalability.
  • Manage artifact storage, distribution, and third-party compliance tools.
  • Troubleshoot and debug infrastructure issues to maintain seamless operations

Qualifications:

The Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Minimum qualifications listed below would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experience and / or schoolwork/classes/research. The preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a specialized field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or in a STEM related field with 3+ years of industry experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in Layer 1 high-speed Ethernet technologies and implementation.
  • Experience in DevOps methodologies and tools, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and version control systems.
  • Hands-on experience with programming and scripting languages such as Python, Java, or Shell scripting.
  • Experience in software build, infrastructure development, and debugging.
  • Experience with software testing, release staging, and acceptance criteria.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post graduate degree in a specialized field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or in a STEM related field.
  • Proven ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment and solve complex problems.
  • Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and frameworks to generate actionable insights from infrastructure telemetry.
