As a Senior Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Global Customer Platform team in Consumer and Community Banking, you play a crucial role in developing high-quality architecture solutions for a range of software applications and platform products utilized across the enterprise. Your expertise in multiple architecture domains allows you to promote significant business impact and contribute to shaping the target state architecture.
Job responsibilities
- Represents a product family in technical governance bodies
- Defines and provides feedback and proposes improvements to architecture governance practices and patterns
- Guides evaluation of current technology and leads evaluation of new technologies using existing standards and frameworks
- Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
- Support engineering teams on design, creation and review of code with a focus on security, quality, reliability and scalability
- Drives decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
- Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
- Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on JOB_SKILL concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s), applications, and architecture
- Advanced knowledge of software architecture, applications, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in cloud technology, micro-services architecture, event driven architecture and domain driven design
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
- Practical cloud native experience
- Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to select or recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture

- Experience with Cockroach database
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
- Experience with AI/ML tools to assist in software definition, documentation or governance
- Experience in modernizing legacy applications
