Lead Site Reliability Engineer role at JPMorgan Chase based in Singapore, responsible for driving resiliency, architecture and reliability across infrastructure for Electronic Trading Services. You will lead design reviews, break down complex problems, act as technical lead for medium to large products, and mentor other engineers. The role requires deep knowledge in infrastructure engineering, cloud technologies and scripting (e.g., Python), and collaboration with other platforms to modernize systems.

Location: Singapore

Assume a critical role in defining the future of a globally recognized firm and have a direct and significant effect in a realm tailored for top achievers in site reliability.

As a Lead Site Reliability Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms, Electronic Trading Services, you hold a leadership role in your team, demonstrate strong knowledge across multiple technical domains, and advise others on the technical and business issues facing them. Take lead and conduct resiliency design reviews, break up complex problems into digestible work for other engineers, act as a technical lead for medium to large-sized products, and provide advice and mentoring to other engineers. 

 

Job responsibilities 

  • Applies technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope 
  • Drives a workstream or project consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologies 
  • Works with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes 
  • Executes creative solutions for the design, development, and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate complexity 
  • Strongly considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications and advises on mitigation actions 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related disciplines
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience 
  • Deep knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments 
  • Deep knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology and scripting languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.) 
  • Drives to continue to develop technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of the product 
  • Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills 

  • Experience with Arista, Cisco, F5 and Fortinet devices 
  • Experience with network automation tools and techniques such as Ansible 
  • Experience with Corvil and Wireshark
