Senior technical contributor on the Consumer and Community Banking - Chase Travel Team at JPMorgan Chase, responsible for designing, building, and delivering .NET and AWS-native solutions. Lead development of microservices APIs, containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD/Infrastructure-as-Code automation to ensure operational stability and resiliency. Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and engineering communities to drive architecture decisions and adoption of modern cloud and DevOps practices.

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking - Chase Travel Team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions.
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Leads evaluation sessions with business stakeholder, external vendors, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Proven experience in stakeholder management, especially communication in common forums with business and GT leadership.
- Advanced in programming language(s) .Net and AWS native app design and implementation
- Strong experience in designing, developing, and deploying microservices APIs/SDKs with expertise in deploying stateless architecture patterns.
- Experience using and architecting containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos, Docker Swarm is required
- DevOps & Automation (CI/CD pipelines, IaC, , Application Resiliency, and Security tools and implementations)
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Practical cloud native experience
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiarity with functional programming techniques and technologies such as Scala, Clojure, or Lisp
- Secure Software Development Lifecycle with OWASP guidelines and practices
- Analysis and Design Patterns: Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD), UML, Microservice
