Infrastructure Engineer II supporting Commercial & Investment Banking, responsible for delivering and operating infrastructure solutions for production systems. The role involves Python scripting and automation, Linux/Unix administration, networking fundamentals, and troubleshooting of data workflows and distribution systems. You will collect and analyze monitoring data, support migrations across public and private clouds, and work with large-scale data workflows and market data technologies when applicable. Job responsibilities
- Applies technical knowledge to assignments with a defined scope such as testing the performance of the infrastructure and understanding and verifying that requirements were successfully met
- Drives results, collects and analyzes monitoring data in test and production, and sees assignments through to completion
- Carries out day to day work assignments with some guidance and within documented parameters
- Escalates issues to appropriate leaders
- Develops considerations for upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications
- Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with Python scripting and automation
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, multicast, and latency concepts
- Experience supporting technical systems or applications in a production environment
- Understanding of data workflows, data pipelines, or data distribution systems
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues using diagnostic tools and methodologies
- Proficient knowledge of hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessments
- Experience with cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds
- Basic technical knowledge of additional technical domains
- Basic data fluency and automation knowledge
- Familiarity with financial data content management or previous experience as a Financial Data Content Specialist (not required but beneficial)
- Experience with market data distribution technologies such as IDP, AMPS, AAAS, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of market data symbology, identifiers, and reference data
- Understanding of futures contract rolls, corporate actions, or exchange conventions
- Experience with large-scale data workflows or data quality validation
- Exposure to trading environments or front-office support
- Familiarity with RMDS/TREP, DACS entitlements, Bloomberg BPIPE/MFA, Refinitiv Data Feeds, or Solace
- Experience with direct exchange connectivity and exchange market data feeds
- Knowledge of monitoring and forensic tools such as ITRS Geneos
- Experience with data normalization, mapping, or reconciliation processes
