Lead and manage a team of software engineers focused on Microsoft Entra ID integration within the Identity & Access Management group. Drive design, development, and deployment of scalable, secure features and ensure operational excellence and production readiness. As a Senior Manager of Software Engineering – Entra ID at JPMorgan Chase within the Identity & Access Management team, you are an integral part of an engineering team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. 

The Senior Manager of Software Engineering Lead for Entra ID is responsible for the management and integration of Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) within the firm, ensuring collaboration with the Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) and Employee Platforms teams. This role leads a team of engineers, working closely with the Product Owner, Architects, and key stakeholders to drive innovation and deliver scalable, well-documented solutions.

Job responsibilities

  • Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
  • Leading the design, development, and deployment of new features and enhancements, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.
  • Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
  • Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
  • Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on infrastructure & software engineering concepts and senior level applied experience. In addition, a proven track record of leading & managing deep technical infrastructure engineers and software engineers.
  • Working proficiency and advanced technical knowledge surrounding Microsoft Identity products specifically Microsoft Entra ID and other related identity products.
  • Understanding of how modern auth protocols function (e.g, OIDC/OAuth, SAML) and software offerings by Microsoft services across the IaaS, PaaS and SaaS stacks
  • Advanced in one or more programming language(s): PowerShell, Java and Python 
  • Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., APIs, cloud, containers, mobile, etc.)
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
  • Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience with public cloud services such as AWS, Google and Microsoft Entra ID
  • Working understanding of integrating disconnected cloud services via identity federation. Both from workforce and workload perspectives.
  • Experience working with two or more from the following: Windows environments, networking, large scale software development and security software development
Promote innovation as a key member of a team enhancing, building, and delivering exceptional technology products.
