Job Summary:

As a Software Engineer III - Cloud at JPMorgan Chase within the Technology and Operations division, you will join our innovative team to design, develop, and optimize cloud-based applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient cloud solutions that meet our business objectives

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement cloud-based applications and services.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure cloud solutions are aligned with business goals.
  • Optimize cloud applications for performance, scalability, and security.
  • Develop and maintain APIs and microservices for cloud applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud applications and services.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and practices.
  • Work closely with DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of cloud applications.
  • Document technical specifications and design patterns for cloud solutions.

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities & Skills 

  • Formal training or certification on Computer Science concepts and proficient applied experience
  • Experience in cloud development, with a focus on application design and development.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with serverless computing and microservices architecture.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, and cloud-native databases.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
  • Experience in terraform
