Job summary
As a Software Engineer III at JP Morgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking team, you will design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters and AWS cloud solutions. You will collaborate with talented professionals to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure that supports our business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters across on-premises, AWS cloud, and hybrid environments
- Develop, test, and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and Helm
- Implement and support CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jules, Spinnaker, and Jenkins
- Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting for Kubernetes clusters using Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, and Splunk
- Ensure security, networking, and failover mechanisms for Kubernetes services
- Build and maintain database solutions using SQL and RDBMS technologies
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering or DevOps concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Experience with Terraform, Python, and Shell scripting
- Proficient in AWS Cloud Platform, system design, and application development
- Experience designing, building, testing, and deploying infrastructure as code
- Strong SQL skills with experience in PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, Aurora, Teradata, or other RDBMS technologies
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jules, Spinnaker, or Jenkins
- Solid understanding of Kubernetes services, networking, security policies, and failover mechanisms
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
- Exposure to cloud technologies beyond AWS
- Experience with Databricks
- Knowledge of service meshes, CNI plugins, and ingress controllers in Kubernetes
