Senior member of an agile Asset & Wealth Management Technology team responsible for designing, implementing, and operating secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. Build automation, manage AWS services (EC2, ECS, RDS, Lambda, Route53, API Gateway, IAM), and manage infrastructure with Terraform and Linux. As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within Asset & Wealth Management Technology, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

 

 

Job responsibilities

  • Develop automation tools / code scripts to stand-up and monitor infrastructure components and security configurations 
  • Implement CI and CD pipelines, thereby automating & improving stability of the release process and troubleshoot infrastructure and configuration issues across all environments. 
  • Provide technical support during software development. Assist development team in debugging environment specific issues 
  • Maintain & monitor asset inventory across all environment and ensure all-time “ON” state of production, CERT and testing environments 
  • Assist in cost rationalization exercises and liaise with architects to gather and understand technical requirements 
  • Design, implement, and manage scalable AWS infrastructure using services such as EC2, ECS, ELB, RDS, Lambda, Route53, API Gateway, and IAM
  • Manage infrastructure using advanced Terraform techniques., administer and optimize Linux-based environments. 
  • Develop and maintain containerized applications using Docker, work with databases including PostgreSQL and MongoDB, and write scripts in Python and Bash for automation and operational tasks. 
  • Utilize development tools such as Git/BitBucket, Jira, ServiceNow, and pre-commit hooks for efficient workflow management, configure and implement AWS RDS and Aurora services using Terraform. 
  • Monitor and troubleshoot systems using Splunk queries and monitoring tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace, or Grafana, participate in Agile-Scrum development processes and contribute to team deliverables. 
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail, accountability, and pride in delivering quality work, collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives. 

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills 

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Relevant experience in software development and DevOps. 
  • Expertise in cloud technologies such as AWS services & tools, security configuration, infrastructure monitoring ,and automation
  • Experience in successful implementation, maintenance and enhancement of technological assets using automated and scalable solutions
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Experience in effective communication with team members and stakeholders, while demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills 

  • Work with messaging and caching frameworks such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Redis.  

  • Understanding of financial capital markets and financial instruments such as stocks, ETFs, and mutual funds.

  • A problem solver, and a team player looking to make a significant impact on a fast-growing
