We are seeking a skilled IaaS Engineer to join our dynamic team, focusing on Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernets .The ideal candidate will design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud-based infrastructure solutions.
Job responsibilities
- Apply technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope.
- Drive work streams or projects involving one or more infrastructure engineering technologies.
- Collaborate with other platforms to architect and implement changes needed to resolve issues and modernize technology processes.
- Execute creative solutions for design, development, and technical troubleshooting within JPMC's private cloud offering.
- Strongly consider upstream and downstream data, systems, or technical implications, and advise on mitigation actions.
- Contribute to a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
- Design and implement infrastructure solutions using OpenShift and Vmware's VCF.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of virtual environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for application deployment.
- Troubleshoot system performance and other issues
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification in Infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience specifically around virtualization
- Deep knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience with Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Basic working knowledge of Infrastructure technology and scripting languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.)
- Drives to continue to develop technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of the product
- Good knowledge and experience in Containers(K8), Storage and Compute
