Job summary
As a Technology Support II at JP Morgan Chase within Corporate Technology, you play a vital role in maintaining the stability, availability, and performance of our production application flows. You help ensure seamless user experiences and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within our team.
Job responsibilities
- Analyze and troubleshoot production application flows to support business operations
- Improve operational stability and availability through active problem management
- Monitor production environments and address issues using standard observability tools
- Communicate and escalate issues and solutions to business and technology stakeholders
- Identify trends and assist in managing incidents, problems, and changes across technology systems
- Support automation of routine tasks and develop telemetry to enhance critical business flows
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
- Knowledge of applications or infrastructure in large-scale technology environments, on premises or public cloud
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools and techniques such as Dynatrace, Splunk, or Grafana
- Familiarity with processes within the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
- Hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud technologies
- Knowledge of batch applications, Control-M scheduler, or large-scale data processing
- Understanding of credit risk concepts
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Knowledge of one or more general purpose programming languages or automation scripting
- Experience with Terraform
- Exposure to Databricks
- Familiarity with automation in technology operations
