CDSClear Senior DevOps & Cloud Engineer will design and develop Infrastructure-as-Code and automated deployment solutions to support CDSClear services. Role Description:

CDSClear IT is the team behind the technology powering CDSClear – a critical clearing service within the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG).

We are looking for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with Cloud Engineering skills to design and develop Infrastructure-as-Code and automated deployment solutions for applications supporting our clearing service. The role is part of the build out of a new team based in Bucharest. The new team will collaborate with colleagues in London and Paris to deliver innovative solutions. You will learn how to deliver in a commercially focussed financial services business in a phase of expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership within the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle, using Agile or traditional methodologies as needed.
  • Design and maintenance of Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform.
  • Engineering of Java software build and packaging processes using tools such as Maven, Gradle, Docker Compose.
  • Management of artifacts in Enterprise solution (Artifactory/Nexus)
  • Design and implementation of automated deployment solutions using tools such as Ansible, Helm.
  • Collaborate with global teams to design AWS Cloud Infrastructure, build, packaging or deployment solutions.
  • Champion automation, from testing to deployment, to ensure speed and quality.
  • Work within a regulated financial environment, with a strong focus on cybersecurity and production controls.
  • Occasional out of hours support for releases or incidents.

Candidate Profile / Key Skills:

  • 3+ years of similar experience

  • Exhibit the skills required to engineer AWS services configured to meet corporate standards including those for resilience and information security.

  • Have experience of using of Terraform in a corporate environment delivered via CI/CD pipelines.
  • Have experience defining Infrastructure As Code for the majority of the following AWS services: EC2, RDS, EKS, Lambda, S3, EFS, Managed Kafka, ELB, Route 53 plus other networking services.
  • Experience using Ansible to configure and deploy applications.
  • Linux skills suitable for installing, configuring and managing software.
  • Experience engineering pipelines in CI/CD tools to complete test environment setup and to execute tests.

It would help us if you have:

  • Understanding of Java-based backend services (Spring Boot, microservices architecture) and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
  • Have engineered scalable and resilient Kubernetes clusters and supported the configuration of the hosted containerised applications.
  • Have familiarity with code and dependency scanning toolsets for SCM, container scanning and static analysis.
  • Used Artifactory as part of previous SDLC experience.
