We are seeking a Senior Performance Engineer to design and implement automated performance tests (including AI-assisted approaches) for backend and frontend applications. You will analyze performance requirements, identify bottlenecks, and drive optimization by integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines and providing technical recommendations. The role involves mentoring QA engineers and developers on performance testing methodologies, and presenting clear insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with LoadRunner/Performance Center, JMeter, DevTools, Lighthouse, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure preferred) is required to support scalable, high-performing platforms within a financial workflows environment.

About the team:

We are part of the Wealth, Investment Management, and Investment Banking organization within the Workflows Engineering group at LSEG Data & Analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop automated performance tests using AI for both backend and frontend applications .
  • Implement AI-driven performance testing and reports where applicable for performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with collaborators to analyze performance requirements and define clear, measurable performance objectives.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and provide technical recommendations to development and infrastructure teams.
  • Use tools such as Load Runner, JMeter, DevTools, Lighthouse.
  • Provide mentorship and training to QA engineers and developers on performance testing standard methodologies.
  • Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Present performance results and insights clearly to both technical and non-technical collaborators.
  • Continuously adjust new tools and techniques to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.



What do we expect:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in Performance Testing and Engineering roles.
  • Strong experience with Load Testing tools such as LoadRunner/Performance Center, JMeter.
  • Ability to design, develop, and maintain performance test scripts for web and API.
  • Identify and recommend Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) for performance testing through detailed analysis of product specifications and business SLAs.
  • Implement comprehensive performance tests including Load, Stress, Endurance and Scalability testing.
  • Analyze test results, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate with development teams for tuning and optimization.
  • Prepare and present detailed performance reports and dashboard.
  • Communicate insights and actionable recommendations effectively to technical and business collaborators.
  • Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS and Azure preferred) for leveraging cloud-based load generation.
  • Ability to correlate performance test results with infrastructure metrics (CPU, memory, disk I/O, network latency) for root cause analysis.
