Lead the Site Reliability Engineering and Service Management function for a regional EMEA squad within LSEG's Infrastructure & Cloud, driving SRE culture, IaC, and proactive service management. Build and scale SRE practices across infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab), Terraform, Ansible, and observability at scale. Manage 24x7 escalation, technical recovery, and problem management across global teams, partnering with technology towers to improve service reliability and data-driven decision-making. This role combines leadership, strategic process improvements, and hands-on delivery in a large financial services infrastructure environment.
Role Profile
Infrastructure Platform engineering (IPE), part of the LSEG Infrastructure & Cloud organisation, are searching for a senior manager to drive Site Reliability (SRE)/ Service management and a professional, with a continuous improvement & proactive approach to service operations working closely with our business areas and across the production infrastructure environment.
As part of the site reliability senior manager accountabilities, we are looking for someone with an experience of building SRE practices across the infrastructure, a strong background in DevOps practices – CI/CD pipeline builds and tools with a focus on GitLab, Terraform, Ansible & broader automation, observability implementation skills at scale. This role will play a crucial role in our technology team, contributing to the development, deployment, and maintenance of our infrastructure.
IPE operates globally with around 600 people in functionally aligned teams across Data Centres, Storage, Platforms, Database, Middleware and the Virtualized Private Cloud.
This role will lead a small regional squad in the Site Reliability & Service Management function, partnering with other regional squads as a horizontal across those technical pillars, to drive improvements across the infrastructure estate and increase business context and service centricity across all teams.

Leads Service management & Site reliability for regional squad members in EMEA and partners with the broader service management functions to deliver a horizontal service excellence capability.
Cultivate key relationships with technology tower leads.
Develop team skills and capabilities.
Proactive Service Management:
The primary focus for this role is driving Site Reliability as a culture and approach to lead our critical infrastructure operations with an approach of Infrastructure as code, working with our teams across IPE and providing reliable service to our critical Markets & Data & Analytics business units.
This role will centre on continually improving the service management capability of the function across the ITSM practices.
Key Accountabilities include:
Reliability of service across IPE functions, driven with Infrastructure as code approach including CI/CD approach to operational automations, driving observability, proactive capacity management via code as a key area of focus.
Driving standard methodologies to infrastructure management enabling consistent approach to service management.
Proactive service risk management.
Assurance of service data quality
Other areas of focus:
Through leadership of a regional infrastructure service management squad within a global team, you'll provide 24x7, follow-the-sun technical escalation response. In addition, you'll drive Technical Recovery and Problem Management response ensuring cross coordination across Technology Teams for complex issues. You'll be accountable for technical decisions and communications on service recovery during live incidents; management of remediation activity and follow-up actions related to service issues after recovery.
Experience of industry best-practice processes and ability to drive approach and process changes.
