Join our fast-paced Directory Services team as a Senior Identity Engineer with expertise in automation to deliver a next generation Modern Authentication environment. You will be part of a cross functional team developing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise authentication and authorisation in a hybrid cloud/on-premises environment. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining automation scripts for identity management tasks (e.g., PowerShell, Azure Automation), onboarding to MFA, managing Conditional Access policies, driving automation, reporting and alerting initiatives to ensure robust and stable authentication services. Your day-to-day will focus on continuous improvements and platform support to enable secure, scalable authentication across Macquarie.

- Extensive experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Hands-on experience with MFA solutions (e.g., Azure MFA, third-party MFA providers)
- Proficiency in PowerShell or other scripting languages for automation
- Familiarity with Conditional Access, SSO, and identity governance concepts
- Experience with monitoring and reporting tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Sentinel, Splunk)
- Exposure to automation platforms (e.g., Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Azure certifications), experience with cloud identity management and hybrid environments, and knowledge of security frameworks and regulatory requirements (i.e. iso, NIST, GDPR) are highly regarded.
