Join Danske Bank as a curious and creative software engineer in a cross-functional squad, focusing on back-end development with .NET and AWS. This is a student position offering 15 hours per week, with flexibility around exams and holidays, and potential for remote work. You will review code, contribute to development tasks, and participate in the full development lifecycle within the Financing Businesses Tribe.

Location: Copenhagen K, Denmark

Do you want to join Danske Bank on our journey to transform financing processes? We are committed to be at the forefront of digital development in our pursuit to create the bank of the future. To do this we need skilled developers and highly motivated individuals with a drive to improve and the willingness to challenge the way we do things.

Who we are

You will join a motivated team in the Financing Businesses Tribe shaping products that are central to Danske Bank’s Forward ’28 strategy. You will work in a truly agile environment, getting involved in the full development lifecycle. We are a diverse department with many different backgrounds and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

The role

Your day-to-day work will be as a developer in a cross-functional Squad. In the Squad you’ll be working with a modern system and integrating with the existing bank systems. You will be a valued member of the team, reviewing code, contributing with your opinions, and completing development tasks.

Curious and creative software engineer

You are a software engineer currently enrolled in or due to start a relevant course at a Danish educational establishment. You will be employed for 15 hours a week, preferably as two whole days although we are flexible to work extra or fewer hours, especially around exams and holidays.

Most importantly, you come with a curious mind, strong attention to detail, and a readiness to contribute!

Experience/knowledge we are looking for includes:

  • .NET 8/9/10 (C#)
  • REST microservices which deliver high quality consumer experience
  • SQL databases and entity framework
  • CICD, Terraform or similar, and AWS is an advantage
  • Error handling, logging and unit testing
  • Commitment to clean, maintainable code

Your greatest assets are your drive, a “yes we can” attitude, creative problem-solving skills and your ability to manage your own tasks and organize your work with the mandate to respond promptly to changing requirements and do things differently – you are willing to learn from mistakes and improve.

We offer

  • Flexibility for you and priority for your studies

  • A buddy to onboard and support you

  • Possibility to work from home when needed

  • Great opportunity to learn and develop

Interested?
