Overview
Microsoft AI is building Consumer Copilot—a new kind of everyday AI companion. Our mission is simple and ambitious: create the best consumer AI platform in the world. That means shipping fast, earning trust, and raising the bar for quality at global scale.
We’re hiring a Member of Technical Staff, Developer Experience to help the engineers behind Copilot move with speed and confidence. You’ll shape the end-to-end developer experience—requirements through design, implementation, testing, evaluation, and release—so teams can deliver customer value in days, not months. You’ll also iterate on the evals that keep our coding agents reliable, scalable, and aligned with maintainable software engineering practices.
On the Consumer Copilot development team, you’ll build the engineering foundation that makes bold product bets possible. You’ll improve the CI/CD system that powers our codebase, build tools that streamline multi-client development, and strengthen cloud infrastructure so we can ship high-quality Copilot experiences quickly and safely—at the scale consumers expect.
This is a high-impact role: your work will directly improve engineering velocity, reliability, and product quality across Copilot. You’ll set best practices, influence architecture, and help define the roadmap for the systems that enable rapid iteration—so great ideas reach users faster, with fewer regressions and higher trust.
