Within CE&S, the Customer Service & Support (CSS) organization builds trust and confidence for every person and organization through delivering a seamless support experience. The Technical Presales and Deployment Services (TPD) team provides technical consultations to eligible Microsoft partners, helping them plan, build, and deploy solutions across the Microsoft AI portfolio that includes AI Business Solutions, Cloud AI and Security AI. By leveraging these advanced AI capabilities, TPD accelerates partner sales, adoption, and capability scores in customer success, skilling, and performance, with a strong focus on AI, solution design and cloud consumption.

The Partner Technical Consultant supports AI Business Solutions and Security partners by identifying requirements and offering tailored technical recommendations. The Partner Technical Consultant role is primarily technical with a strong Cloud Solution based focus.
Technical solution skills combined with an understanding of Microsoft methodologies and a good Partner Ecosystem understanding will establish a trusted relationship and provide a unique value to Microsoft Partners.

Partner Technical Consultants (PTCs) require the soft and communication skills to quickly understand and verify the Partner request, discuss technical information and solutions, as well as to identify all required information for solution.
We are looking for a consultant with expertise in Dynamics 365 Business Central application.
Preferably have hands-on work experience in ERP SMB based solutions including areas such as Case Management, Sales Productivity, Supply Chain, Field Services, Customer Care.

Exposure on Demonstrating the product capabilities functionality on the core out of the box scenarios on sales, marketing and services to represent the Technical Presales and Deployment Services business needs and to develop our technical capabilities across related workloads and technologies. Through delivery of effective guidance, PTCs share best practices empowering Microsoft Partners to continually deliver high-quality engagements with customers.

Responsibilities
  • Helps Partners during the presales to deployment lifecycle on a range of technical topics.
  • Guides Partners’ thinking through active listening, questioning, and reflecting. Provides vital insight and seamless service to help define needs and then provide advice within area of expertise.
  • Consults Partners through courses of action by helping to find appropriate solutions to enable new customer sales or optimization of existing customer deployments
  • Builds lasting relationships through effective technical engagement in Consulting Services, enhancing Partner Experience and helping build Partner competency and capacity.
  • Cultivates Trusted Advisor Relationship to accelerate Partner adoption and productive use/development of Microsoft solutions.
  • Performs scoping activities, reacts confidently on Partner requests, and set up proper expectations.
  • Takes on requests with medium to high level of complexity and resolves them in a timely manner.
  • Delivers 1:1 remote consultation service with good efficiency regarding preparation, delivery, and admin time.
  • Contributes to technical triage and technical reviews in the area of expertise.
  • Maintains up-to-date technical / industry knowledge and demonstrate “Experienced” or “Expert” technical expertise in the ERP area and the underlying technologies.
  • Shares knowledge and resources globally.
  • Develops best practices for Solution Area and develop/ deliver internal tech-talks/ brown-bags at level to improve team readiness.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND experience of technical pre-sales, technical support, or technical consulting OR extensive years of technical pre-sales, technical support, or technical consulting experience

  • Experience with relevant technologies (e.g., cloud, infrastructure, Microsoft platform)
  • In depth product knowledge on Dynamics 365 Business Centra.
  • Preferably have hands-on work experience in CRM based solutions including areas such as Case Management, Sales Productivity, Supply Chain, Field Services, Project Service Automation, Customer Care and Contact Center
  • Current Microsoft certification(s) in the technologies supported
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and ability to develop strategic ongoing customer and partners relationships.
  • Enjoy teamwork, and actively contribute to their peer group as well as our partner account teams.
  • Cloud adoption competency: Possess the knowledge and personal conviction to articulate value proposition of cloud technologies.
  • Customer and Partner Focus: Demonstrated skills and abilities to consistently create an amazingly positive experience for Partners.
  • Openness and willingness to learn multiple new technologies across different Solution Areas
  • Power Platform, Copilot Studio and Copilot Agents know-how is an advantage
  • Extensive experience in supporting / consulting customers, partners or technical services related roles

Languages:

  • Native/fluent in English is mandatory. Exceptional oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills in English.
  • Other language(s) is a plus.
