Overview

As a Senior Consultant, Infrastructure, you will lead customer‑facing delivery of high‑quality solutions and business outcomes on Azure. You’ll design and implement secure, scalable cloud foundations (landing zones), drive migrations and modernisation, and help customers adopt Azure‑native operations — while mentoring teams and contributing to ISD’s AI‑first consulting strategy. Responsibilities
  • Lead technical delivery for Azure infrastructure engagements (landing zones, migrations, platform modernisation), owning technical plans across the end‑to‑end delivery lifecycle.
  • Solution & design robust, cloud‑native architectures and produce design/delivery artefacts (HLD/LLD, runbooks, ops guides).
  • Identity & Governance: Implement Entra ID (Azure AD), RBAC, Policy, and Blueprints/ALZ patterns for enterprise landing zones.
  • Embed security by design and integrate security tooling/practices into delivery and DevOps workflows.
  • Monitoring & Automation: Leverage Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and automation frameworks (PowerShell DSC, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Cost Optimisation: Apply FinOps principles and cost governance to ensure sustainable cloud economics.
  • Resilience & DR: Design for high availability, disaster recovery, and compliance requirements.
  • Assess and mitigate risk — identify business/technical risks, quantify impact, and implement mitigations/contingencies.
  • Hands‑on solutioning & troubleshooting of complex infra issues (networking, identity, IaC pipelines, cost/performance).
  • Mentor & uplift colleagues and customer teams; contribute to reusable IP and best practices.
  • Operate with excellence — manage scope, schedule, and billable goals while collaborating across One Microsoft.


Location: Spain (Madrid/Barcelona).

Travel: Up to 40% within Spain/EMEA.



Qualifications
  • several years in IT services with deep experience across Microsoft technologies and Azure.
  • Proven delivery of Azure application/infrastructure solutions using Kubernetes (K8s), serverless, and DevOps practices.
  • Cloud‑native design experience; able to create architecture/design artefacts and lead implementation.
  • Networking fundamentals (firewalls, DNS, DHCP) and strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Security expertise: cloud security best practices and integrating security controls/tools within Azure & the SDLC.
  • Fluent Spanish and business‑level English for customer delivery and internal collaboration.

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Bicep; familiarity with Azure Verified Modules (AVM) and Azure Landing Zone patterns.
  • Virtualisation (e.g., Hyper‑V, VMware) and Linux administration in hybrid/cloud scenarios.
  • Coding/scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar) to automate deployment, governance, and diagnostics.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and Well‑Architected Framework.
  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., Financial Services in Spain) and large, multi‑tenant Azure estates.
  • Certifications: Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ‑305), DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ‑400), or equivalent.

This position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
