As a Technical Program Manager at Microsoft Azure Compute Host and Infrastructure PM team, you will lead cross-team development efforts across Azure compute services such as AKS, VMs, and Cloud Services. You will work with engineers and architectures to design architecture, set program goals, define success metrics and telemetry, manage risks, and coordinate end-to-end project schedules across feature areas. You will build partner engagements across Azure/Microsoft to drive customer value and ensure scalable, dependable platform experiences. The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, collaboration, and delivering high-quality solutions at cloud scale.

Overview

The Microsoft Azure Compute Host and Infrastructure Program Management (PM) team leads horizontal customer experiences and platform capabilities across Azure Compute Services. The team develops modern solutions that strengthen performance, reliability, speeds and feeds, and other core areas to ensure the platform provides a dependable environment for mission‑critical applications running on Azure. This work is supported by a global‑scale big‑data foundation combined with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) techniques, distributed systems approaches, and deep systems expertise that enable innovation and allow Microsoft to design and operate datacenters in ways not previously possible with traditional methods.

This organization builds the cloud platform that underpins Microsoft’s services and is well suited for individuals interested in cloud computing, large‑scale distributed systems engineering challenges, and advanced technology operating at massive scale. The environment offers opportunities to grow within a cloud services platform that targets levels of scale and availability not found elsewhere in the industry.

The team is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead cross‑team development efforts and collaborate with groups across the full breadth of Azure. The work centers on platform experiences that support services such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Virtual Machines (VMs), Azure Cloud Services, and additional compute offerings, ensuring that engineering teams can deliver high‑quality, scalable, and reliable solutions.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
