Own, investigate, and resolve complex customer technical issues related to AzureCore Containers, acting as a technical advisor and collaborating across teams. Lead readiness programs, technical coaching, and knowledge sharing to deepen proficiency and enable resolution of challenging issues. Partner with Microsoft Engineering/Supportability to investigate product defects and help develop automation tools and diagnostics to improve Microsoft products and customer experiences.

In the Customer Service & Support (CSS) team we are looking for people with a passion for delivering customer success. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will own, troubleshoot, and solve customers’ technical issues. Responsibilities

Response and Resolution
• You own, investigate and solve complex customer technical issues and act as a advisor to the customer, collaborating within and across teams and leveraging troubleshooting tools and practices

Readiness
• You lead in building communities with peer delivery roles and share your knowledge through readiness programs, technical coaching and mentoring of others.
• You deepen your technical and professional proficiency to enable you to resolve complex customer issues, through training and readiness.

Product/Process Improvement
• You engage with Microsoft Engineering/ Supportability teams to investigate potential product defects and help develop automation techniques and diagnostic tools driving Microsoft product improvements



Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications (RQs/MQs)

  • Multiple years of technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or related field AND technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience
  • Knowledge of container technology and fluency in Kubernetes
  • Experience with Core Linux administration (boot process, file systems, network device and protocol configuration)
  • Understanding of the Networking OSI model and related concepts
  • Basic concepts Cloud environments (priority on Azure )

Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

  • Microsoft Technology Certifications or CK A/AD/S
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Cloud
  • Knowledge of Open Shift, or Redhat technologies
  • Knowledge of Windows Operating System and Virtualization concepts
  • Knowledge of networking concepts including VIPs, NAT, DNS
  • Knowledge of container specific networking concepts such as CNI
  • Knowledge of networking tools (ping, tracert, tracemon, tcpdump, etc.)
  • Skills or experience on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS); Azure Openshift RedHat (ARO);

Language Qualification
English Language: confident in reading, writing and speaking. OR
Fluent in German, French, Italian and confident in reading, writing and speaking English.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and / or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire / transfer and every two years thereafter.


This position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
