Senior Enterprise Architecture Manager within the Institutional Securities Group Architecture Governance team responsible for driving strategic architecture vision, defining standards, principles and governance for divisional adoption. Lead and influence cross-domain solution architectures, modernization and convergence efforts, and collaborate with engineering, platform and product leaders to create domain roadmaps. Ensure adherence to architecture guardrails, manage cross-team dependencies and remove impediments while promoting cloud-native, DevOps and Agile best practices.

We're seeking someone to join Institutional Securities Group (ISG) Architecture Governance as a Senior Enterprise Architecture Manager to drive strategic architecture vision and alignment across key stakeholders; and define and govern architecture standards, principles, best practices, and patterns for divisional adoption.

The ideal candidate brings knowledge of Agile, Cloud, DevOps principles and values; experiences in collaboration across complex organizations, removing impediments, and ensuring team progress towards their missions and deliverables. Candidate must possess strong leadership skills, able to resolve issues and interdependencies across organizations.

Institutional Securities Group (ISG) Architecture Governance is responsible for development, communication and implementation of the Technology Architecture principles, standards, design patterns and governance that inform the development and engineering of the ISG Technology platform in support of the ISG business.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Create the target state vision and business architecture strategies and facilitate the execution of IT delivery roadmap in-line with the business goals.

  • Create, lead and/or influence cross domain solution architectures articulating the impacts on apps, data and technology.

  • Identify the opportunities for modernization, convergence, and optimization of the current state portfolio and provide the technology options to address the gaps in target state.

  • Collaborate with engineering leadership, and platform architects and product strategy leaders to develop domain roadmaps across functions.

  • Keeps current with trends and technological innovations in the Finance and IT industry and makes appropriate development recommendation.

  • Define and enable a risk control culture while delivering on architecture, technology, and business vision.

  • Keep abreast of External regulations and Internal Policies that impact Architecture Practices.

  • Manage engagement with internal partners (e.g., Cloud, DevOps, Architecture teams, Data, etc.).

  • Take ownership to drive through resolutions of issues or blockers, coordinate directly with other development/product teams on inter-dependencies or through Scrum-of-Scrum ceremony.

  • Project 'auditor' to ensure conformance to architecture guardrails and policies.

  • Architectural leadership in resolution inter-program issues and encouragement of convergence opportunities.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • 15+ years hands-on experience designing & developing technology solutions

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields from an accredited university

  • Proven experience as a general Enterprise Architect in large development organizations

  • Strong knowledge of Enterprise Architecture models like TOGAF

  • Experienced in designing and building cloud-native applications and knowledge of Cloud Services by Azure, Google and AWS

  • Experience in various Container Strategies (Kubernetes, EC2, Docker)

  • Experience and advanced knowledge of coding languages and frameworks (e.g. Java, JavaScript, Python, C/C++, Angular, React)

  • Experience developing and working with relational databases and distributed storage technologies like MongoDB

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills

  • Experience working with teams across different time-zones and countries

  • Experience working and influencing the designs of software architecture specialists

  • Experience of understanding the application of architectural design patterns such as Event Driven Architecture, Service Oriented Architecture, Micro-Services Architecture, Domain Driven Design, Layered Design

  • Excellent relationship management, communication, teamwork, and influence skills; ability to operate at senior levels in both written and verbal communications.
