Qualcomm Continuous Integration Product Owner will lead international teams of software developers and operations engineers to design, develop and operate services and methods used for cutting-edge software development. As the CI Product Owner, you will ensure services have minimal downtime, maintain a decoupled architecture, and facilitate planning, refinement and demonstration events with other product owners and architects. Responsibilities for this position include

We are seeking a product owner working with enabling software development by leading one or several international teams of software developers and operations engineers. You have a mission to operate the services with minimal downtime while maintaining a decoupled architecture. You are working in a team, together with other product owners and architects. The development teams are meant to be self-organizing, but you will be facilitating planning, refinement and demonstration events.

Your teams are working with a server park consisting of both Linux and Windows. They are coding in high level languages such as Python while the end users of the systems you provide mostly use C and C++. The service stack consists of GitHub, Zuul and Artifactory. We use Elastic, Grafana and Datadog for visualizing metrics and supervising our services, Ansible and Terraform for automatic deployments running on Kubernetes on prem and in AWS. Build systems such as Bazel and Buildbarn and web services built on Vue and Django are also part of the portfolio.

You have a strong understanding of best practices in large-scale software development but are also knowledgeable in IT systems on top of which the services you provide are built. You have adopted DevOps, Lean and Agile principles and will bring also that aspect into your work.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

Job Profile Summary (Preferred Qualifications):

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 10+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 10+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.

In addition, the more of the following that is applicable, the better:

  • Knowledge about source code management and pipeline orchestration tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Gerrit, Zuul, Jenkins and GoCD

  • Knowledge and experience with the build system Bazel

  • Knowledge and experience in Bazel remote build and cache solutions such as Buildbarn, BuildGrid, BuildBuddy, Aspect Build or Engflow

  • Deep experience in Git, understanding Gerrit and GitHub workflows in detail

  • Experience in running applications on Kubernetes

  • Experience in operating services in AWS or other cloud providers

  • Experience in service provisioning using Terraform or Ansible
