As a DevOps Engineer at QRT, you will be a key player in designing, building and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our quantitative research and trading platforms. You will work closely with developers and quantitative researchers to ensure seamless CI/CD pipelines, robust automation and scalable deployment strategies. This position will be based in Hong Kong, with opportunities to work on cutting-edge infrastructure challenges in a high-performance trading environment. Your future role within QRT

• Building and maintaining environments for Python and C++ development, ensuring optimal performance, compatibility and security
• Managing and optimizing C++ build systems, ensuring efficient compilation and deployment processes
• Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid and reliable software delivery across multiple environments
• Architecting and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS, with a strong focus on EKS (Kubernetes) for container orchestration
• Ensuring the stability and security of on-premises production systems, including infrastructure automation and monitoring
• Implementing and managing automation tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention
• Collaborating with globally distributed teams, ensuring smooth communication and coordination between teams in different time zones
• Driving best practices in DevOps, infrastructure as code (IaC) and security compliance

Your present skillset

• DevOps & Automation:
  • Strong experience in CI/CD pipeline development and deployment automation
  • Proficiency with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Development Environment Management:
  • Deep knowledge of Python and C++ development environments
  • Experience with C++ build systems (e.g., CMake, Bazel, Conan)
  • Familiarity with package management for Python and C++
• Cloud & On-Premises Infrastructure:
  • Strong background in AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda and networking components
  • Hands-on experience managing on-premises production systems, ensuring high availability and scalability
  • Proficiency in monitoring, logging and security best practices for cloud and on-prem environments
• Collaboration & Communication:
  • Excellent English communication skills to effectively coordinate across teams in different locations
  • Ability to document workflows, troubleshoot issues and provide clear technical explanations
  • A proactive mindset, capable of driving process improvements and automation initiatives
