You will lead the day-to-day operations of QRT’s on-prem HP server infrastructure. This role involves direct ownership of hardware lifecycle management, alert response, and vendor coordination. You will work closely with Linux and application teams to ensure optimal server performance, including specialist hardware such as liquid-cooled systems and encrypted storage. Your responsibilities will include ensuring uptime, overseeing maintenance, and improving operational tooling.

Your future role within QRT

• Lead the administration and maintenance of HP server hardware in an on-prem environment

• Oversee installation, configuration, and lifecycle management, including upgrades and decommissioning

• Act as primary liaison with HP and other vendors to manage support cases, service contracts, and SLAs

• Coordinate and resolve hardware alerts using HP OneView, HPE OpsRamp, and related tools

• Manage firmware updates, inspections, and repairs with minimal downtime

• Administer secure disk encryption through HPE ESKM in collaboration with security teams

• Work closely with Linux and application teams to ensure performance, compatibility, and capacity

• Lead a team of technicians, providing mentorship and ensuring a high standard of service delivery

• Maintain clear documentation and provide regular reporting on hardware health and activity

Your present skillset

• 5+ years of experience managing HP server hardware in a production data centre environment

• Hands-on experience with HP ProLiant, DL, BladeSystem, and liquid-cooled server systems

• Proficiency in HP OneView and HPE OpsRamp for provisioning, monitoring, and alert management

• Familiarity with ESKM for disk encryption and key lifecycle management

• Comfortable working alongside Linux systems and application teams

• Strong organisational and vendor management skills

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership capabilities

• Familiarity with hardware-related best practices in high-availability environments
