Join the Network Operations team to ensure the stability and reliability of Qube Research & Technologies' global network across trading, high-performance compute and WAN environments. You will provide 24/7 operational support including monitoring, incident triage, troubleshooting, vendor coordination and hardware replacement. The role involves proactive detection, running out-of-hours operational changes, producing documentation and conducting post-incident reviews to improve availability. Strong network troubleshooting, familiarity with BGP/Multicast/TCP-IP/VXLAN and NMS/analysis tools are essential.

The Network Operations team is part of QRT’s global infrastructure function and ensures the stability and reliability of the firm’s global network. The team provides 24/7 operational support, covering monitoring, incident triage, and troubleshooting across a diverse set of environments including low-latency trading, high-performance computing, and global WAN technologies.
Your Future Role within QRT
- Ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the QRT Network in Trading, High Performance Compute, WAN, and other environments.
- Using modern monitoring techniques and tooling to detect and react to incidents, ensuring a fast response within the target SLA.
- Provide initial triage of incidents reported by internal teams or detected through monitoring tooling.
- Support and assist SMEs and vendor support teams through deeper and high priority incidents through to resolution.
- Owning end-to-end hardware failure process, collaborating with vendors to obtain replacement parts and put into operation.
- Drive proactively detection of potential incidents using monitoring tooling and trend analysis.
- Perform operational BAU changes during out of hours change windows such as, ACL updates, port configurations…etc
- Reporting service outages to connectivity providers, working for fast resolution and post outage RFO reports.
- Create and update documentation such as diagrams, knowledge articles, how-to guide…etc with aim to reduce time to resolve.
- Review service performance for connectivity providers and vendors to find and improve sub-performing areas for improvement.
- Running post incident reviews finding opportunities to improve the availability and reliability of our infrastructure.
Your Present Skillset
- CCNA Certified and/or Degree in relevant subject area at 2:1 or above.
- 2-3 year’s experience in an operational support team
- Experience using Cisco, Arista, Corvil products
- Strong troubleshooting skills of network infrastructure and collaborating with vendor support teams when required to perform deep investigation.
- Knowledge of network technologies (i.e. BGP, Multicast, TCP/IP, VXLAN, General Routing/Switching, etc.)
- Prior usage of NMS tools (i.e. Solarwinds, Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, etc.)
- Experience with analysis/troubleshooting tooling (i.e. Wireshark, Splunk, PromQL., etc.)
- Informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our automation and practices remains cutting-edge.
- Experience of service management tooling (i.e. Jira, ServiceNow, etc.)
Base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $200,000 per year.
QRT Total Compensation includes discretionary performance-based bonuses and a competitive benefits package.
